1994 Hot Spring Grandee
« on: June 10, 2013, 10:14:10 am »
I recently acquired a 1994 Hot Spring Grandee, with new cover. Everything works great, new filters and chemicals. We would like to keep it but don't quite have a good place to put it. I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to give me a good starting price to sell it at. Thanks.

Nearly 20 years old? Maybe $500
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

If we assume its in full working order and good condition so that you can show it to someone fully running, hot and no leaks then I'd ask $1500 and be prepared to sell it for $1000. Now if there are issues with it (and there usually are with a 20 year old tub) then you'll need to discount further on both the asking and selling price.

Once you get to a certain age its all about how it runs and looks but on second thought even if its working great and looks great the age will be a sticking point so I'd probably drop that further and emphasize that its available to see it in full operation.
