Can a very small amount of confetti, barely enough to make a handful, affect a hot tub? The confetti is a mix between larger paper bits and smaller (less than the size of a dime) reflective plastic bits. Any answers would be appreciated.

Any good hot tub filter system will stop any confetti from getting to anything important and doing damage.

My only thought here is, when you pull the filter out to clean it, turn off power to the tub to prevent the confetti from going in deeper and gumming up the works. I've never tried to get confetti out of a filter. If it gets too bad, replace it.
