50amp GFCI for 40amp SPA?

Have looked and asked several people and there seems to be no 40 amp GFCI breakers.  I am being told that they skip 40amp,  start at 30a then go to 50a and 60a.  Can some one confirm that you can use a 50amp GFCI panel as long as you have a 40amp regular breaker in your main panel?  This is for a Sundance Caprio.  Thanks
