2013 Hot Springs Sovereign (high life series)

Hi , can anyone tell me , what the bottom of the Hot springs sovereign (high life series tubs) are made of, is it covered ?  Or is it exposed to the elements, I know there is foam on the bottom and wood, this is going on a patio, where i had a hot tub before, but I am concerned about field mice, carpenter ants, etc.... Do they leave this uncovered and why  ?

Its sealed with a hard coat of urethane, it'll kind of look like a hardened epoxy is the best way to describe it. No mice, ants, etc. are going to get through it.
