Jacuzzi pricing?
« on: February 06, 2013, 08:06:38 pm »
Today I went to look at Jacuzzi to compare them to Sundance and Hot Springs.  I really liked the J-465 and J-375, but the pricing seems crazy.  They were asking $12,276 for the 465 after the cash back for a 2013 floor model that has been wet for a week and $10,821.00 for the 375 (dry floor model).  I am comparing them to a Sundance Victoria 2012 dry display model for $8999 and a dry display Hot Springs Envoy for $9687.  All include, delivery, cover, cover lift, stairs, and chemicals.

Any feedback would be appreciated

the 465 and Envoy seem to be right in line with what I have seen, for some reason that 375 seems really high though? esp. for a floor model, did you manage to wet test any models?

Not yet, I have the Sundance dealer setting up the Victoria for a test next week and hope to test the envoy the same day or at most the day before. At this point I am not going to test the Jacuzzis unless I totally do not like the other two or they lower their pricing as I cannot justify 2-3,000 more for what looks to be a very similar spa. I can get a grandee for less than either Jacuzzi.

Well you should be able to get the Jacuzzi at a much better price. I just bought a 470 way way less then your 465 price. There a very nice tub, and you will like. But I would not even buy one at that price. Where are you at for shopping?

I am in northeastern Pennsylvania.  I may try go wet test both Tuesday, but am leaning towards the Sundance pending the wet test. I did email a different jacuzzi dealer today to see if they are better price wise.

I was also between a Sundance floor model and the J-470. I told the Jacuzzi what the floor model of simular class which was the Optima they were willing to sell me for. Then after a bit of talking, they actually beat the Sundance floor price with a brand new 2013 470. I told them if they could give me a price that would make me smile, I would leave the deposit that day. They did just that. I bought mine a Matley's pool and spa in Pepperell Mass. Awesome to deal with.
