Hot tub heating and pressure issues
« on: September 04, 2012, 08:18:24 pm »
I just installed a new heater on my hot tub. Well in the process I broke the pressure switch and to save a couple bucks I bought a universal. Well I filled the tub and checked the filter it was dirty so I pulled it out until I could get to the store to buy. Not wanting to wait any longer to test my new heater I turned on the power and it worked great !! Heated up to temp and shut off. The next morning I went and bought a new filter and installed it. Then the tub started acting up. It keep running and would not shut off. Tonight I removed the filter and its working good again. Is the universal switch just not adjusted right ? If so do you think I need to adjust it up or down? Thanks

Ok correction. The heater heated the water up to temp but didn't shut off. I lowered the temp but it still don't shut the circulation pump off
