It's bad for them, because after we bought it, two my neighbors decided to by Jacuzzi's, but not now!
This is what I don't get about people. Yes it is frustrating, but the dealer is taking care of it and Jacuzzi is standing behind them making sure the product holds up and you are satisfied. Stuff goes wrong once and a while, and it's unfortunate it happened to you.
Now imagine this happened to your neighbor who is no longer buying a Jacuzzi because of you. Say they buy an Master Spa. What if the same thing happened to them? You think Master Spa is going to be nearly as good as Jacuzzi is to make it right? Once the dealer is done, your spa will be awesome once again. For that, you should be thankful that you didn't buy little piece of crap down the street.Devil's Advocate here
Really, you think this guy is unwarranted with his complaints?
Who says the neighbor is going to get a Master? Maybe the neighbor gets a Caldera, D1, Hot Springs, Marquis, Sundance (not knowing its the same manufacturer)... and gets just as good of service and support. I agree that the neighbors would be missing out at looking at a good brand in Jacuzzi but if I weren't in the spa industry, had no clue who is who and my neighbor had a problematic spa like this I'd be avoiding that brand too. Its only natural and it’s not like skipping out on this one brand means they'd miss out on any chance of getting a good spa.
The spa may be awesome when all is back up and going and I'd certainly recognize the dealer as the good guy but I'm not sure "thankfullness" would be my general feeling right after if I owned it. Maybe 1 year later when all has been good for a while and I had it clearly in my rearview mirror.
BTW, when someone asks me to recommend a few brands Jacuzzi is one of a handful I'd list so I recognize that this issue shouldn't be an indictment of Jacuzzi as a brand. I just don't see how anyone could question this guy’s frustration or his neighbor's trepidation.
not saying I don't believe OP, but I would love to see pictures of how not only one but multiple entire jet bodies "blow out" on a brand new spa, In 12 years I've never seen it happen on any manufacturer

This is where we differ, I would come get the spa and bring him a loaner, not sure it was offered but it's better than a dismantled spa in a backyard. That is service, my friend. To bring out a loaner would probably have made his friends consider Jacuzzi. I know I would have appreciated that.

At least with my experience with cars, it seems like if something catastrophic goes wrong early, you become convinced you have a "lemon" regardless of the facts.

Now why they couldn't put them back in is what I am trying to figure out? Unless the tabs that hold them in broke which would be really odd for that jet.
