Need help with J-355 Pricing
« on: July 08, 2012, 11:47:16 pm »
I hate for my 1st post to be this type but I really need some help here.

My wife and I have recently been looking at spa's and we both seem to like the J-355 (2012 model) for a few different reasons.  I was quoted $9995 + tax for either the J-355 or J-365 (which is an alternate we both like) with chemicals, cover, steps, delivery & set-up included.  However, after doing some online research, I'm beginning to feel I'm being taken advantage of at this price and am now thinking of countering with $8950 + tax for the spa.

Would my counter-offer be reasonable for either of these spa's or is my homework off the mark?

Thanks in advance for any help!

With Jacuzzi's hydration promo right now you get 500 cash back.

Welcome to the forum.  I understand what you mean about not wanting your first post to be that type. The pricing is the oddest part of this industry for some people, myself included to get their mind around.  Besides wanting to get a reasonable deal you have to make the wife happy! Good luck.

I'd like to thank Jacuzzi Jim and the many others on this board for the great information they provide.  Obviously not just in this thread but in many others.  I was able to seal the deal on my J-355 and pay $1200.00 less than the original quote I was given.  The dealer never mentioned the $500.00 and I consider that quite "shady" as I'm sure he would have somehow pocketed it.

I look forward to reading more about these spas as my delivery date nears and hope to someday contribute back once I have something to offer.

Your dealer didn't get to pocket 500 from the promotion, by the sounds of it he gave you money off the spa.
If dealers participate in the promo which many don't, 250 of the 500 dollars comes from the dealer which gets billed by Jacuzzi to the dealer.
