Need advice on topside control
« on: June 21, 2012, 06:46:44 pm »
Hello, My LED control went blank on me when I pushed the jet/light button and now the spa is disabled. I have power to the control box, no fuses blown, and there is no reset switch anywhere to be found. This is a Balboa topside control with a telephone type jack that plugs into the circuit board. Is there anyway to test this thing? I'd hate to spend $100 on a new one and find out its something else. Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried flipping the breaker off then back on?  Sometimes they don't appear to be tripped when they are.

The spa is a Mellenium (out of business) and is about 10 years old. I checked the breaker and do have power to the control box, but nothing on the topside control. I'm confused as to why there is no reset switch. I live in a rural area and there's nobdy around for 70 miles to work on it, so I'm trying to figure this thing out myself. Thanks.
