2008 D1 Sarena Bay
« on: June 15, 2012, 06:01:57 pm »
Just came acrosed what I believe to be a smoking deal. A used 2008 Sarena Bay for $3900 with a one year warranty. The shop is 185 miles from my home. The wife and I were on a weekend get away and went into the dealer. The owner was the only person in the day we were there. After talking to him and him taking us to the warehouse to see it he gave us the price and said he would deliver it for free. I think it is a very good deal. What do all of you think? Thank you Dave

Not knowing anything more than what you posted, it sure sounds like a great deal. Is he a Sundance dealer?

He is a D1 dealer. What other info should I have posted? I apologize as I am new to the hot tub scene and not sure what all information is important.

You're doing fine - sometimes it is nice to buy a used spa from a dealer who handles that brand. They tend to be able to catch any little problems faster by being more familiar. It's not a must, if you feel confident in the dealer, it does sound like a good price.

Ask questions such as, Would they replace the ozonator and are all of the jets functioning and easily adjustable? Also are the headrests and rubber buttons under water in good condition?  How is the cover? Sometimes they get very heavy. How is the cabinet? New filters? DOes it have an ez lifter and is it in good condition.  These are all of the minor things that ad up in cost when buying a used spa. I would buy this spa if it were in good condition.

That is my one cent of input. (thats all they allow me as far as inoput goes)
