Shocking
« on: June 19, 2012, 04:55:41 am »
Hi I have shocked my spa and do keep ontop of the general maintenance of it but the water is still a little cloudy even after using non chlorine shock. I was wondering if I overdosed it with chlorine would this help clear the water.

It holds around 1000 litres, so if this would help how much should I add?

I usually shock once per month with Chlorine - Dichlor to be precise.

1000 liters is about 300 US Gallons, and I would add 2 dry ounces to shock a tub of that size. I would also test the next day to see if the level of chlorine is still up - if not I would add one more dry ounce US.

I think that would be about 60g - but check my math!
