Jacuzzi 470 v 365
« on: June 23, 2012, 02:34:04 pm »
We are trying to decide between these two tubs.  We wanted to check to see if anyone else had gone through this decision and what their final selection was and why.

We can get the 365 with chemicals, cover, lifter, steps, stereo delivered for $8100

We can get the 470 with chemicals cover lifter steps and stereo delivered for $11,000

What does everyone think about these prices?

Thank you for your help!

Price on the 470 is pretty much spot on, the J-365 is lower than we are by a bit (good price).    Have you wet tested either?  While they look similar layout wise, they are both different in their own way as far as how they seat/feel and the features they offer.   Looks on the outside are quite different.

Thank you, I did wet test both of them.  I think they are both great tubs, so I am having some trouble.  I like the size of the 470 (seemed a lot roomier than the 365),  higher back, double waterfall, lights, stereo and control panel.  Just not sure if it is all worth about 3000 dollars.  They both seem to be great tubs, both had great seats/jets.  Tough decision.

If the extra room makes sense then go for it, otherwise you're paying an additional $3k for a spa stereo (never a wise idea with hot tubs IMO), waterfall & exta lighting (nice to look at but at what cost) and a control panel. If it were me the decision would come down to whether the extra room is worth the extra $ or not. In general I think the 300 series is a far better value than the 400 series which you pay a premium for and largely just get a lot of extra bling added.

Any other oppinions?   For those of you that have a 470 or 365, can you tell me why you selected one of the other?
