Is this wat they are called?  A plastic sheet that goes between the water and cover.

DOes anybody know a good web site that sell these?

Yes, spa blanket is fine.  You can find them anywhere spas are sold including Doc at rhtubs.com.  They are relatively inexpensive and well worth it to help your cover last longer.

A spa blanket is a sheet of plastic with air filled bubbles on one side.  It is placed on the spa water bubble side down.  The cost is around $30.00  They are available from most spa dealers and on line from Spa supply houses.  Here are some links:
