Question about replacing heating element
«

I replaced the heater element for my cedar tub. However, a part of the new element is touching the inside of the stainless tube. I think that is not a good thing. Can someone let me know if this is OK or bad?

Does anyone have an opinion on this? I'm going to refill the tub tomorrow or Saturday and hope to use if ...if it works. Frying the $49 element is not my big worry. I don't want to cook something inside the electronics panel or me!
