Caldera Ozonator injector???
« on: August 08, 2011, 09:06:07 pm »
Looking for some help. I just bought a new Monarch CD ozonator for my Caldera Moorea that didn't come with one. The kit I bought has a red injector (highland series) and SpaDepot shows my tub has a blue injector (paradise series), the tubing sizes, and main unit are identical. The parts look the same except color but the injector hose is in a different place  see http://www.spapartsdepot.com/category/caldera_spas.ozonators/ Does anyone know if there is a difference? Thx

The difference should have to do with whether your spa uses a circ pump for filtering or a 2-speed pump for filtering. There is a big difference in flow between the two methods and the color injector is to match the flow of that line. Stick with what the manufacturer suggests.

Red injectors are for spas that use a low speed jet pump to filter the spa.  If you have a circulation pump, they are typically white/clear/black, and I guess now blue.

Yeah I was worried about the injector but didn't realize there are voltage differences in the units also! :'( I bought the correct injector but know just realized this unit is 120 volts and my tub is 220 volts, so now I have a complete setup for 120 system and just an injector for a 220. If anyone is interested in a  brand new in the box Monarch CD set for a 120 volt tub let me know as I can not return it.

I may be wrong, but I thought all Watkins spas use a 120V Ozone.  Are you positive that yours must be 220?

No I don't thats way I kinda asked here. I did start a new thread. Spaparts depo said 120, I assumed since mine was set up for 220 that it had to be 220?? But maybe that part runs on 120 off the board?? I got confused as after I saw them listed for either voltage when I ordered the injector and then read the sellers desciption that it would work in any 120 volt tub.

I guess if I looked in the control box it gave the different voltages for the components. Very easy to install and is working. Thanks to all that replied with answers!
