NCAA tournament
« on: March 27, 2009, 11:58:28 am »
I entered the same ESPN tournament challenge as President Obama and 5+ million other people. Unlike B.O., I’m rolling. After going 16-16 in round 2 and 4-4 last night I sit at the 99.98 percentile with all my teams alive.

First place gets $10k; 2nd place gets bragging rights to their friends. I figured with my odds I better get the bragging rights thing going NOW while I’m still at that 99.98 percentile point.

The ONLY things I need from here on out is to go 4-4 tonight, 2-2 Saturday, 2-2 Sunday and then 3-3 on the final weekend and I could be the winner out of 5,000,000+ entries.  ::) :)

BTW, the team name is due to the fact a guy I know who is a big Tennessee homer set it up for fellow SEC homers so I had to name my team in a way to remind him the SEC is a bit down this year LOL.

Thats pretty damn impressive Spatech. I would have never guessed that Missouri would have made it to the Elite 8, and I watched them play all year pretty much here in Big 12 land. I am surprised that the winner only gets 10k. Good Luck!

Looks like you took a bit of a hit last night!. That was a nice run you had there though. I really thought Syracuse would beat OU, but my bracket was far worse that yours, so what do I know! ::)

That's why I figured I should get the bragging in while I could!  ;)

Fortunately I'm leading a 100 person pool where I took UNC to win it all over L'ville but have pretty much the same picks otherwise so in that one I was 16/16 and then 7/8 and have all my final 4 teams alive. Of course like most NCAA pools you can get a lead but pretty much need the eventual winner or the early lead means nothing though I think I could win with a few alternate situations.

hey next year dont jinx my J-Hawks and pick them to go so far.  I knew somebody cursed us to lose last night, we had that game!  But on the goodside at least we lost to a coach (Izzo) who was smart enough to buy an Arctic spa from his local dealer!!!
