Found a used tub for $2500, my husband and I have never owned a hot tub. Is this a good price and type?

That is a good price IMO if you can see it all warmed up and running. A new 2011 Envoy would cost close to $10,000.
Hope this helps.

that would be a stellar price assuming a few things: is the spa fully operational? does the heater, pumps, etc. all work? what condition is the cover in? (a new cover will run $400-$500), where is the spa located and how much will it cost to move and transport? have you gotten any quotes on electrical installation on your home? (wiring costs could go $1000+, just a few things to keep in mind when shopping used...good luck

All good questions. Cover has two snaps broken and the lift is not on it, blew off in a wind storm. Have seen it twice, once tried it. Everything seemed to be working. Jets all worked, temp. Was 101. Located two miles up road from me. Think it could fit on my dads utility trailer. Electrical is all done. Put an addition on our house and made sure we had that all done four years ago. Only thing I question is that some ants got in one part and made a colony. They took that part off, fixed it and you could never tell there was a problem, only knew because they told me.

Adding to what you had here already, this is a good brand and model, price is within reason, If you can't afford new this seems a reasonable way to go.

Not willing to negotiate. Thoughts?
Would you feel better if they'd asked 2900 and let you "bargain" down to 2500?
For me its a must to
try
to get a better price but not necessarily a must to succeed if I think the price is fair. Maybe they're firm because they think its fair for a well maintained quality tub and they think they can get it.
If its worth it in your opinion, go for it. If you think its too much move on.
