Google Chome browser

Anyone using yet? I just started and seem pretty bug free so far, better than many early versions of browsers I've seen.

I have tried it a little.  So far, no problems.  It seems to launch faster and load pages faster than Firefox (I've never been a fan if IE).

I still prefer Firefox because some of the customizable features and add-ons are quite useful.  Google Chrome does not seem to have any of these features...yet.  Google Chrome is relatively small and uses less resources.  If they ever offer the same features and/or add-ons as Firefox, I will likely use it over Firefox.

On my limited experience so far, your assessment seems accurate.  At work, I am tied to IE6, not even 7 and I have a dozen other applications open, so being able to use this one helps me keep my computer from freezing up while keeping an eye on you guys during the day.

OK, Bill, I thought I would give it a try. I liked it for the limited time that I used it, but it locked up my other browsers. You use AOL right?  WEll it locked up my desktop access to AOL and IE. Not sure why. I know I don't need AOL on my desk top, I can still access it through Chrome, but I have AOL 9.0 and I really like it..guess I missed something.. :-/ Don't understand why they can't work independant of each other?

Why don't you throw a shoe at me?  That is less of an insult than calling me an AOL user!

(I used to work for a company that AOL (ao-hell) bought out and laid off 1500 of my closest friends. )

Did you uncheck the box that said make Chrome your default browser?

Duck...

Sorry Bill, I knew you had an AOL email address...I know I hate AOL too but I am just so used to it. Even if Chrome was the default browser, shouldn't I be able to load AOL from my desk top? Nothing would load at all..maybe I will ditch AOL..just I have had this email address for 100 years and everything is tied to it. :(

I've been using it since the bata came out, I really like how fast it is. The bata tag has been removed and the full version is now out.

I love the Google calendar. It is pretty amazing. I text appointments from my cell to the calendar and can see everything at one shot when I get on the computer. I also get emails to remind me of my appointments and a memo to my cell.(it can send to other people too..so I can include my kids)..Finally found something that actually keeps me organized!!!!

I don't know if this is an issue with the web browser or my ISP.

I only have a dial-up connection (live in the boonies).  Occasionally, with both dial-up services (PeoplePC and Net Zero), Google Chrome and Internet Explorer will not load any web pages.  They act as if there is no internet connection.  But, Firefox will work just fine when these other 2 won't.

Just an observation I thought I would pass along.
