troubleshooting power supply

Ok, I was given a Dreammaker eclipse 110v hot tub this morning that worked as of yesterday.  I brought it here and it's not working at all.  The electrician isnt coming for a few days to install power and i wanted to make sure everything is a GO.  I dont intend to use or operate this tub with an extention cord.   I understand those hazards and drawbacks.   However, I do want to know if I'm in the market for parts or if everything is still functional.   I used a 15amp 14.3 gauge extention cord, not crazy long, to test it..... nothing.   I really only need about a 4ft extention to reach a capable outlet.  Any advise on how to narrow down the problem or figure out if the power cord or control module is out?
