filter cleaner for a Caldera Cantabria
« on: April 07, 2011, 04:17:37 pm »
Hi-
When we bought our hot tub last fall, Bioguard Maintain Strip Kwik was included, which I used once so far, soaking the large filter in a solution of this. I wanted to purchase some more cleaner but was wondering if SpaGuard filter cleaner/degreaser spray would suffice instead of soaking the filter for a few hrs in the other product.
thanks

Get a spare filter. When its time for a filter cleaning ake out the dirty filter, put the clean spare in the spa, soak the dirty filter overnight, rinse & dry it the next day and repeat monthly (or so). Soaking is the better method and using a spare is the key so you don't have the spa down while filtering. Filters don't last forever so having a spa isn't really any extra cost.

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.
