If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Wow and he probably wishes he had mounted the box higher so it would be easier to reach from inside the tub...

I've seen that exact setup. Always a DIYer and they really don't want to hear why thats not ok usually.

I can see it now....the breaker trips...no need to get out of the tub to reset when you can reach it from your favorite seat....zzzzzappppp
If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.

The box had to go there. It's as far as the extension cord would reach from his neighbor's house.

I don't see an external plug in for his blow dryer, not planning ahead at all.  ;D

I've seen the very same setup before, but the guy got rid of the spa after the toaster unexpectedly "fell" in when the wifey was in the spa..! Go figure..! ;D

the thing I find amazing is how elaborate the setup is...its not like someone who had a quick brain lapse and maybe ran a boombox off of an extension cord too close to the spa.  It has a breaker panel and what appears to be a junction box or two and also maybe a couple outlets? can't really tell from the picture, but the point is someone has at least a few hours into this and at no point did the thought of frying themselves and/or their family & friends not cross there mind at all?? unreal
