We've used them on a few occasions with no problems. You just need a level area to put them, preferably sandy.
If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.

I haven't observed problems with them either.  I have a friend that has used them and been satisfied.

I have used them on several ocassions and have been pleased with the results. As stated earlier, the ground surface must be level. I prefer the EZ Pad. It only has 4) 4'x4' Foot Pieces, which fasten together with strong brackets. The Ez Pad has a strong extruded design. You can build the base, then easily carry it to the proposed area or flip it over in place. Goodluck.

I framed out my area in 6x6 PT lumber and filled it with stone. It was a cheap and fairly easy install and movable if I ever need to.

One of my neighbors with a tub says his wife always wears one when she gets in.

I've had my tub on an EZ pad for 6 years with no problem.  Just make sure you use construction grade sand as a base and not play sand
