Moto Massage Problem - 06 HS Envoy
« on: January 01, 2011, 02:41:00 pm »
Hi all

Recently I noticed that my Moto-Massage was not moving up and down any more.  Yesterday, I took off the cover to inspect it.  Water still jets out of the ends, but the small white line that runs between the jet lines is broken off as it enters the jet head.

Can just the white line be replaced or is the entire thing a unit?
How difficult is it to replace the jet unit if I have to?

Thanks and Happy New Year!
Rich

Its very easy to replace but being 4 to 5 years old you really should just replace the entire unit rather than just the failed portion..

Thanks SpaTech.

I tried to see how the unit is attached, but since the tub is full of water, I couldn't tell.  I guess I'll pickup a new unit and install it the next time I change the water.

Any suggestions as to the best place to get a good price on a replacement unit?  It's an 2006 Envoy.

Rich

PS:  If anyone has the part number for the unit, that would be a great help!

Is it single or double moto?

You can change with spa full.

It's a double moto-massage.  When I had the grill off I felt around inside to try to see how it is connected at the back but couldn't figure it out since it was full of water.

Does anyone know the part number for the double assembly?  That would help a lot.  I'm going to try to search for some parts diagrams too.

Thanks,
Rich

Hey Rich,

I believe that is part # 70319. Quick question though, you have a 5 year warranty on that jet. Why not just let the dealer handle it for you?  ???

I didn't realize the jets would still be under warranty.  I'll call my dealer (but the service charge for the call may be more than the cost of the part!)

Thanks for the part number.

Just an update:
Thanks to Soak-King's reminder of the warranty, I called my dealer who is coming out to replace the unit and fix a few other minor things we discussed before the warranty expires later this year.  They are only charging $49.00 for the service call which is well worth not having to mess with it myself.

Thanks all,
Rich

After doing a search on the web I found this thread. I have a 08 H.S. Grandee with the dual moto massage. On one side it has stopped working just like Richs100 described. My question is how do you remove the two main jet tubes. I removed the air tube but cannot figure out how to remove the other two tubes. It is below freezing here and I am working with the tube filled. Would like to remove it to inspect it to see what the problem is. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Well after searching this forum I found a thread that decribes how to take off the duel jets. Now I have to call the dealer to see if they will replace them and let me install it myself under warrenty.

Called the dealer and they said they will need to to install it. The good news there wont be a service charge. Well I will find either Mon. or Tues. how true this is  :-\

Service guy was here this morning and replaced the jet and it worked after that. There was no service charge so I am happy about it was still coved under the warrenty. :)
