cold nights
« on: November 28, 2010, 05:12:35 pm »
So I was just lamenting about how little use my hot tub gets lately. Then my son came home with his girlfriend and some college and high school friends. The tub got plenty of use all week long and it was great to see them all enjoy it in perfect soaking weather...Makes me want to kick up the woodstove and go out for a nice long soak...

Just when the weather is getting 'perfect' for a nice long soak - the holiday season kicks into full gear - leaving one with NO TIME for a relaxing soak....   Seems to me the 'young people' have it figured out better that we do - come home to the folks for the 'big dinner' and then 'chill' in the hot tub....
I'm thinking I NEED to make soaking a priority again!

After a 4 hour drive from Erie, where I saw a little snow and ice, we stopped at a friends house and watched Michigan get their @sses kicked for the 7th  year in a row and then hot to a nice tub waiting at 104.  It was sure good to be home.

Wow Bill, ..104?  did you have to work up to that temperature over the years? I can't even tolerate 102 for more than a few minutes. I think men like the tub much hotter than women do. My husband sneaks that temp up to 102...and I know right away. How about your wife?? Is she comfortable at 104?

Yea, she does 104 just fine. Both of us do for periods of up to 20 minutes.  We keep it at 101 or 102 in the summer, or if we go out with friends/family and want to stay out longer than 20 minutes.

I also keep my water at 104 in the winter time.  I am in it every night, so I am used to it.

Spent over an hour in the tub on Saturday night with the Mrs and a couple bottles of champagne.  Temps were in the 30's.  Turned the tub up from 101 to 102 now that the colder weather is upon us.

Same thing here, we keep our own tub at 102 but wife will sneak out and bump up to 104... but I can feel for Michigan , We are getting snow like crazy, we have gotten 22" so far this month we are supposed to get 5-9 inches more today,,,Spokane  last year not much snow and not much Summer, the year before we got our butts kicked here we go again....at least we got our temps back up to the mid 20's
