50 or 60 amp option on J-365

Going to run the electrical for the new tub. Two options, 50 or 60 amp. For a Jacuzzi J-365. 50 amp will let me run with heater on if pump one is on low and pump two is on high. 60 amp will let heater run with both pumps on high. My service (200 amp main) has the capacity for 60amp. Seems that would be the preferrable way to go...60 amp? Does that cut down on the heater life? If I did the 50amp, would the tub cool off noticably running the two pumps at high speed? Feedback?

  If you have enough room for the 60 amps just go that route,it wont affect the life of the heater at all. As far as the 50 amp goes you would probably be fine, most people usually won't notice a drop in temp with a average use of say 20 to 30 minutes in the spa.  Just go the 60 amp and make sure your dealer knows so the can convert it to accept the 60amps.  Takes less than 5 min to do that.

How much different is the installation cost? We spend on average about 20 minutes a day 5 days a week in our tub and of that, maybe 5 minutes each time is with the jets on. The 50amp scenario wouldn't both us too much, but if you are have the capacity and the 60 amp breakers aren't way more expensive or require you to go to a much more expensive wire, why not?
