Floor Model or New ?
« on: August 31, 2010, 10:34:54 am »
About to make a decision on my new hot tub.

The dealer offered me a brand new one from factory or a floor model for $300 cheaper.

What should I take? Is there any drawbacks from a floor model?

Thanx

Same warranty either way so getting the floor model at a lower price would be enticing to me. Then again you didn't say what model or how much the spa costs; $300 off on a $11,000 spa seems kind of minor but off of a $6000 spa it seems better.

In the end if its a dry floor model I'd go for the savings. If its a wet floor model I'd probably expect a bit more off (IMO, and its negotiable so don't hesitate to counter because they may be really wanting to move that floor model).

Also, if it is a wet demo, be sure they include new filters.  You don't want used filters.
