Do It Myself Ozonator Install
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:30:42 pm »
I have a 2002 Tiger River Siberian and need to replace the ozonator. The original ozonator was an OEM Freshwater UV model, and the current ozonator is a Marquis UV (cylindrical) model. Any recommendations on a replacement? I want to do the replacement myself, so installation has to be simple.  What are the key points of the install?

I just did mine myself, and it was easy.  I replaced the guts inside the box, with new parts.   My ozonator is a CD monarch, which is a DEL-50.

I would suggest finding the guts(UV bulb, transformer if needed,1 way check valve,gaskets/o-rings,hoses etc)that all come in a kit,for your "current" ozonator.

Here's what I have in my spa.....  http://www.spadepot.com/shop/Del-MCD-50-High-Output-CD-Ozonator-Kit-120V-P9419C674.aspx

I only needed the guts for that model, and after price shopping,I found a kit for 70 bucks, brand new.
