pH too high
« on: April 21, 2009, 10:16:05 pm »
I just drained, cleaned and refilled my hot tub yesterday. Added the normal chemicals to the water. When I checked it today, I found that the pH reading on the test strip was very high. I have added pH decreaser to it twice today, but it still reads high. My dealer says that it takes time for the pH decreaser to work its magic. How long should I wait between adding and testing? Is there a quick way to lower the pH?
I trust my dealer, but no harm in asking those with lots of experience.

Forget pH. TA is what you should be interested in. If you get your TA tuned correctly, pH will fall right in line.

What is your TA?

What sanitizer are you using?
