Hello and thanks in advance. We have narrowed our choices to these two, $6900 for the Caldera, $7800 for the Hot Springs. Any thoughts from owners? We find the seating in Hot Springs slighlty more comfy--molded seats seem less comfy, and the "extras" of the Hawaiian (floor model) nicer, also larger. Wow, buting a hot tub is expensive..our first thought was more like $4000 than $8000! Â

I have sold both. Hands down, I would go with the Tiger River Caspian. It's made on the same assembly line as the HotSpring in California and will give you the same longevity and reliability as a HotSpring. The Caspian is better quality, less fluff. It is one of the best values in the spa industry.

When you said that the seats are more "comfortable" in the Hot Springs model, do you mean "dry" or "wet"? Sitting in a tub full of hot water will feel COMPLETELY different than just sitting in a dry one. Make sure you go for a test soak to really feel the differences.

Thank you everyone. I meant wet, but I felt a little awkward when wet testing, leading to stumbling around in the hot tub. No one was there at HotSprings, so much quieter experience. Still thinking and welcome input.... :-/

Just to clarify. There is some humor and some ongoing stuff that goes on here. A newbie comes on and asks a question and may not know the background of the sarcastic replies. So the facts:

Watkins Manufacturing has several brands. They manufacture different brands at different factories. Caldera, Hot Spot, Solana and Limelight are made in Mexico. Hot Spring and Tiger River are made in Vista, CA, USA.
