If everyone needed to upgrade to 200amps to run a hot tub, 75% of the salespeople/owners here would be out of business/work. It's a tough pill to swallow that you need to spend thousands on electrical to buy an $8000 spa. Most won't do it.

Cheers,

Steve

Sorry to be a pain in the rump and ask so many questions..

Let me start by saying again welcome to the forum. From a purely judgemental standpoint, your questions have been good ones and are creating good discussion. We welcome more like you to the forum.

We do have a 220volt tub on 100 amp service.  IT can be done, fairly reasonably. It helps that there are only two of us and we usually are in the tub together.  We have learned we can't be running the pumps while the AC is on and the electric dryer is running.

Thank you! This forum and all the people have been a great source of help.

100amp had me really concerned, but with all the advice I have been given I'm feeling releaved. I'm waiting patiently for the snow to leave the ground so that I can have my HS  delivered.  Being that my AC is on another unit by its self I'm hoping to have a stress-free and easy install.

Thanks for sharing your experiance. :)
