Quick Question Re: Hot Spring Filter Door
« on: January 18, 2009, 01:49:37 pm »
Recently, I've noticed that the top half of the filter door (the weir?) on my 06 Envoy floats up and out of the side tracks and then is unable to drop down when I turn on the jets.  Is there supposed to be some kind of a clip or cap on the top of the slides that would prevent this?  I've checked the bottom of the filter compartment for any loose parts, but didn't find anything.

Thanks,
Rich

There should be two pins, one on each track that prevent this.

Yes, the pins are at the top of the tracks on each side to keep the filter door from coming up past the top of the tracks.

Well I guess they have to be somewhere in the bottom of the filter compartment.  Where else could they have gone, right?

The pins in my Envoy also came out. I never found them for some reason. The HS tech inserted a threaded screw into the top hole to fix mine. It will never come out now.

It should be covered under warranty but you could easily do this yourself if your dealer charges a hefty trip charge. Good luck.....
2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.
