A picture for all you southerners
« on: December 21, 2008, 04:30:47 pm »
Well it is cold today, very cold -11 to be exact.  So I thought I would share the 3 feet of snow that I have with all of you.  I just finished digging out my hot tub.  The far side that you cant see has the snow right to the edge.  So I compacted the snow and I am using it as a cooler for beer.

We just used the tub with -2 temp but wind gusts up to 40MPH and a wind chill ranging from -20 to -30. It was a wee bit cold so we only stayed in for 20 minutes, but wow was it great in the cold with the snow (we had to have the cover only half open because it kept wanting to blow closed and I didn't want to risk damaging the lift). Wow! I guess winter is great for tubbing!

We got the cold but not the snow you got a few hours south. Couldn't have worked out better!  ;)

How the heck do you get your tub past 104? Did you modify it?

It was 75 down here yesterday and dropped down to 25 last night.  Crazy weather fluctuations have gotten everyone sick around here.

We broke through zero last night, but with 25mph wind so we didn't go out last night. We missed all the snow and ice somehow.

Well, according to FoxNews.com this is some record-breaking cold all over the country.

Must be a conspiracy.

my company did not bring crocs or flipflops so I loaned out mine.  I went barefoot to and from the tub.  Man my toes burned when I got in.

Isn't 107 a dangerous setting?  I'm okay at -21 plus wind chill at 102 .. and I get cold easily!  but there is no way that 107 is safe.

I just noticed that the wind chill chart Zep posted will update itself to the current day.  We lost 8 degrees of wc since I last looked and it fells like it too.
