Viva Las Vegas!  Pool and Spa Expo AAR
« on: November 21, 2008, 11:29:56 am »
Got home at 2 am from the Las Vegas Pool and Spa show...had a great time, learned a ton of stuff, and got to meet several of the prestigious forum members for the first time.  Got a lot of pics, too!

Forum members I met for the first time (in order):

Jacuzzi Jim
Stuart
Markee
Micah

Renewed acquaintances with my good friend Mendocino.

Nobody donkey punched me in the head, for which I am extremely grateful.

We ate, dranked, and remained merry for the duration...but now it is time to return to the real world and get to work.  Once I get caught up a little, I'll start posting pictures.

Welcome back! We are waiting for the return of the owners to hear all about their time at the expo. I look forward to seeing your pics.
If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.

Well we got back around midnight last night and I am glad to be back!!  Loved meeting the guys from here  but I missed Micah :'( Not sure how that happened?

We looked at a lot of cool stuff got caught up on whats new and who's doing what.  I will say there seemed to be more Chinese junk there then I have ever seen in the past. Not sure how that will shake out.  Everyone also confirmed the slowness no surprise there.  Many vendors were very very  anxious to get new business, the only  thing we picked up was the Freeflow line which we dropped a couple of years ago, were going to put a couple on the floor and see what happens.

It was great putting faces to names from those on the forum, I really wish we could have spent more time drinking and talking about spa chit!  If all of us could get together and open a few spa stores we could kick some serious a--!  Term did get a few pics which could be a good thing, could be a bad thing with his photoshop skills 8-)

Anyway its good to get back to work, and cant wait to see the rest of Terms photos, Vegas does bring out the best in girls and some of the worst as well.

It was great to meet everyone!

I must say the highlight of the show for me was the Haven Spas booth with the 2009 Super Custom Fallsburg.

Sorry, it's been busy today trying to get caught up.

We land in Vegas and get a rental car, then drive over to Mandalay Bay.  What a beautiful hotel!  It smelled like magnolias throughout the property.

Here was the ride down the escalator:

The landscaping around the hotel was exquisite.  It just made me want to sit right down and have a picnic:

We were on the 13th floor facing the Strip.  The view was breathtaking:

Stupid flash!  Here's a better view:

To be continued....

I heard Term's waitress about got her hand bit off when he was chawin' on a nice steak bone out there - after he finished his 30 oz. steak first, of course.  ;)

My office is right by the Mandalay Bay.
I wish I could have met some of you, but then I'm just a Spa Owner and not a Spa Sales Engineer.

I've always wanted to see it, but always run outta time?
Is Hoover Dam like 1.5 hour drive on a tour bus or alot farther?
