Any idea the brand? Maybe the model and year?

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Kinda looks like a Morgan to me. Possibly from the 80's? I'm not a tech so I'm just guessing.
If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.

As far as I know Polynesian used old Len Gordon controls;

FF-32
FF-32PL-L

The brand name on the hater is Aquatemp. That along with what I can see of the pump leads me to NOT believe it's a Jacuzzi.

From 1991 to 95, Morgan spas had a spa side panel with their name on it, as opposed to individual air buttons mounted in the spa. After 1995 there went with an electronic panel

For the most part back then Morgan used a pressure canister...They also used all rigid pvc and no flex so if you see flex count them out. It's not Morgan

Second it's not a Jacuzzi, the box store models where made by Gatsby and they used a different control, heater and filter.

I'm not sure about a Polynesian either...It looks like an old downeast shell that was put together by a private builder.

Blue Pacific in the old days also looked like that

My best guess is that it's builder box put together locally.

With engineering like that it has to be a Haven.

Like you would know a rebranded, reconfigured machine...You made a Japanese bike look and sound like a Harley! (remember, I had to take in the fumes from that monster for many miles as it threw mud on my BMW) ;) 8-)

Based on the wood cabinet and wooden lip around the shell, I'd have to say it's an '07 or '08 Arctic  :o

What are you talking about Peter??

Arctic Spas also offers a maintenance free cabinet if you don't want to go with the cedar cabinet. It is available in three different color choices. I took the following from the Arctic Spa website:

Forever Flex cabinets are a stylish, carefree alternative to out cedar range. The entire cabinet is constructed from composite fibreglass.

The exterior of the tub has specialized Eon panelling, creating an impervious and maintenance free spa.

The panelling comes in a choice of colors and can be removed for access. Should you wish to change colors or renew the panels these can be easily replaced independently of the spa.

Their sleek design gives a modern look to any location.

Just a little FYI, (as far as the lip wooden lip goes) after all the Arctics I have traded in for new Arctics, I have yet to see any top rails that are rotted out or deteoriated.  The cover that comes with the spa actually covers the top rail and protects it from exterior conditions, AND if you do get any moisture on the rail it is tapered to allow it to roll off and dry.

If you are going to put a lip there, that is the best way to handle it.
