I agree...terrible video (and, for the record,  I am not a homo)....sorry Zep but I think the spa slip is a waste of money. And I am sure Benny was commenting on the quality of the video not necessarily the demonstrator. ;D ;D

I don't really see the point. It isn't going to increase insulation value. It will get dirty and dusty and eventually be degraded by UV..I am thinking that moisture under the slip could encourage mold..so what's the point? Of course, I don't like slip covers on furniture either :-/
What I think you really want Zep is a Dallas Cowboy..................
.............
.......
cheerleader on the top of your tub... ;)

"sorry Zep but I think the spa slip is a waste of money"

boni....why are you apologizing?...LOL...I don't know anything about this product.

but any video with a blonde in a bikini cant be terrible!  ;)

"It will get dirty and dusty"

yeah but it can go in the washing machine!

I think it could be a novelty when I have a party to have the Cowboy or Note Dame logo on top of my tub.

Yes, yes....like the cheerleader idea!

But hey this thing isn't the cure for cancer....just a slip cover!

Boni I promise you'll get lots of support for the thumbs down, I've noticed most ideas that stray from the traditional usually get slammed in here......LOL

Not trying to slam it, Zep, just saying that it doesn't strike me as something that I would spend my money on....I am sure they will find plenty of folks who would love to see their team logo on their tubs. ;)

From what I can gather, the covers get heavy from absorbing the steam from underneath, not from rainwater. I can see how this would make your ugly cover look better but not keep it from getting waterlogged.

My cover got three times heavier and I have a roof over my spa so I know it wasn't from rain.

I want one of these with the Decatur Staleys (became the Chicago Bears) logo or the Titans of New York (became the Jets) logo. I love the throwback teams.

Doc would be the one to comment on the details of this, but I know if you put a sheet of plastic over a cover and let the sun hit it you will ruin a cover in one good warm afternoon.

I have had people do it with plastic drop cloths as they painted around the tub. Also, if your spa cover arrives wrapped in plastic, it will most likely have stickers on it warning you not to leave it sitting in the sun that way.

I would hope that this slip cover, being ripstop nylon would not have the same reaction, but I would love to hear more from some folks who have used it.

I actually think it's a pretty cool idea if it breathes...Looks a bit pricey but with the team logos there is no telling what people would pay.

I know a couple of Nebraska fans I would almost give the CU cover to if they would promise to use it.

I can also see this closing a deal in my area!

It creates a green house effect, getting so hot it literally melts the foam.

I had some sample material from Spa Slip. Wasn't really impressed with it. It was a rip-stop nylon, that was tissue paper thin. I have no idea how it might actually hold up over time.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Whatta piece of crap! If the quality of the video says anything about the product, well... it says it all. How does a red, blue, green or whatever cover help transform your spa into a vision of loveliness?  :-?

I could see someone wanting a sports logo or something but I suggest getting some colored markers out and drawing it on the original cover if that's what you want. ::)

Zero function, zero benefit and zero value to the end user. Other than that, I like it just fine!  ;D
