Sundance Optima - "Blow-Out" Cycle
« on: September 01, 2008, 03:38:35 pm »

-- 2007 Sundance Optima --

Just by chance I noticed that the "blow-out" cycle actually energizes the blower first, then pump - 1 (pump - 2 never gets turned on during this "blow-out" cycle). I believe it should energize pump - 1 and then pump - 2, each for 1 minute. But, for some reason it is energizing the blower.

I just noticed this for the first time today, so I don't know how long this has been going on. I suppose it could have been going on since we bought it a year ago, but I'm not sure???

Any thoughts as to what the problem may be?

Seems to me you want to "blow  out" the blower channels.  I would think that aspect is functioning correctly.

It wold make sense that the blower would run during this cycle.  But, the owners manual does not mention the blower should cycle during this mode...just the 2 pumps.  Pump - 2 does not run during this cycle, and I'm wondering how to correct this.

In my 2002 Optima, the blower runs, then pump 2, then pump 1 comes on for the filter cycle.  I would expect that a 2007 with no pump 1 filter cycle would energize both pumps and the blower.
