If a bottom-feeder fiberglass spa is left uncovered and unfilled for 24+ hours beneath the Texas sun, what would be the end result?

Just a guess, but I would think a blister might ensue?   Could probably happen to a high end spa as well.

I agree, enough direct sunlight and any can blister whether its a Hydro Spa, a Jacuzzi or even a Sundance!

The reply is probably going to be different than you think. Over the 20+ years of being in the industry I have seen hundreds sitting in the sun as displays, and I hadn't seen one blister. Why, because of the lack of insulation allows the heat to escape through the back of the shell and into the cabinet.

I was going to say the same thing. The heavy insulation can stop the heat dead in its tracks and do damage to a spa.

But a spa with little or no insulation on the back of the shell can and does bleed that heat off fast enough to keep the shell from melting and blistering.

Is that what you were asking?

The Texas sun shines 24+ a day?  Okay, sunrise 06:00, sunset 22:30, we've left it out for at least a day and a bit.  

We have a few experimental jobs sitting out in the back lot; some have been there for years.  I haven't really paid them that much attention.  They are dusty and some of the plastic fittings are discolored and probably brittle from the UV, but the shells and cabinets don't look damaged beyond what you'd expect from neglect.

I wonder if it actually melted. My practical side says it's probably warped as bad as my mind. And that ain't good.

You may not see the damage untill you add water and then the acrylic delaminates causing a blister. We saw this many times with waters edge spas they left outside.
