is that weight significantly more than other top tub makers?

Now you got me wondering so I looked at a few well known large non lounge spas out there (and I even threw in a Cal so you wouldn't feel left out).

Arctic Tundra: 92¾" x 92¾" x 38¾", [size=9]didn't see weight spec but someone said [/size]1000 lbs
Artesian Piper Glen: 92" x 92" x 37", 968 lbs
Cal Avalon 8-857B: 93" x 93" x 39½", 900 lbs
Caldera Niagara: 89" x 89" x 38",  920 lbs
Hot Springs Grandee:  100" x 91" x 38", 1008 lbs
Jacuzzi J470: 91 in x 91 in x 39 in, 930 lbs
Sundance Optima: 89" x 89" x 37.5", 855 lbs

Overall it seems most premium spas have a similar size to weight ratio.

I dont know the exact weight of the Tundra but I do know that the weight of the Tundra is much more with the synthetic cabinet and composite frame  than the wood cabinet Tundra.  I will also say that I have lifted up many different brands of spas INCLUDING arctic and there is a pretty big difference between the spas as far as weight goes.  By the way 100-200 lbs per spa is a pretty significant difference.

LOL....Thanks Spatech....I am assuming those are very close in
size spas and they all look mostly in the same weight range.

I feel left out too.....Clearwater Spas, all 3 92.5x92.5x41...1100lbs.

My husband and I deliver by ourselves with a spa dolley and ground slides! Its starting to get to us though! Never miss a night of using the spa.

The set up is beautiful for this spa. You will have to post more pics after you put your plantage in. Enjoy!!

exact weight of the Tundra

1009 lbs dry for base model with cedar cabinet, according to manual.

I'm sure that was just a joke, but I will answer it anyways. Arctic uses a perimeter heat lock method for insulation. In that picture, one of the access doors was removed so you can see the inside. On the door, there is 4-5 inches of insulation. as well as all on the floor, and all the walls and corners of the spa. Looks something like this:

No it wasn't a joke. I have never seen an Arctic tub here in CA. Thanks for the info.
