cool off the water
« on: June 07, 2008, 02:03:02 pm »
Okay in Long Island today it is about 90 degrees out.  The water temp is 98 and the heater has not been on in days.  I actually want to drop the temp so I can use the tub and get refreshed in this heat.  Do people put cold water in their spas?

Is this completely stupid to want to cool down my tub?

I've heard of people putting a few bags of ice in the tub to cool it down  :)

After the first warm spell with my spa, I realized there was no way this tub was going to cool down...so I bought a pool to go along with it.

benalexe.....throw a dozen bags of ice in there, add some jose cuervo,
some lime juice, some Grand Marnier, some sweet-and-sour mix ....
then turn on the jets.....you'll have some margaritas in no time!

We bought the pool (which even in 98 degree temp yesterday) it was ice cold!!!  Can't even get the hot tub deck built due to the heat! Don't ACTUALLY want to kill the hubby and his friends!  ;D  Good luck cooling down the spa!

Freeze water in a few milk jugs and drop them in the tub.

Seriously???

Interesting idea.

We are having a thunder storm here. I just left the cover open so maybe the rain will cool it down too.

Should knock a couple degrees off the tub, better than having a bag of is rip in the tub and affect the water balance.
