The Coast tub where the entire front is a waterfall, is the most useless feature ever, but today I think I found the most annoying feature ever. I made my quarterly trip for chemicals at lunch today. I alternate between the local Sundance/Jacuzzi and Hotsprings/Cal/Caldera/Viking stores that are close to my work. I went in to Scioto Valley, the HS/Cal store and as always I look at what I might want to buy. I was dissapointed no Aria on the floor. Saw a few attractive Cal and HS models, loved the looks of the lounger in the Caldera models.
While back in the wet test room where they have about 5 models up and running, I saw a Cal model, the tub itself looks great and the control panel looks really hi-tech. Next to the control panel was a 2" speaker.
I quickly learned as you touched any button on the control panel you would get an annoyingly loud sound effect. I've probably worked on thousands of MS Windows PCs over the last 20 years and I've seen some pretty annoying Sound/Mouse pointer schemes. (Jungle) and this reminded me of that.
The final straw that started me laughing out loud was when you pressed the jet buttons, it played a sound that might have been the engine of a jet airliner spinning up. Turning off the jets would cause the spinning down sound.
I have to assume that the sound could be disabled and/or turned down, if not I'd be cutting that speaker first thing. Talk about your all flash, no value feature.
