Zen Hot Tubs
« on: April 16, 2008, 03:09:10 pm »
First off let me introduce myself..... I am a Spa Nub or Newbie (literally).  I am so new to this industry that the wetness behind my ears could be mistaken for a tropical storm!

I was approached by a award winning interior designer that is trying to help  a client of hers with an outdoor scheme designed around 'zen'.

I am not a 'zen' guru at all!

My question to you my soon to be mentors....  are there ANY spas out there that capture the zen feeling?  She found a tub (literally) that the client loved, though a jetting system could not be added.  The tub line that she found was Duravit.

http://www.duravit.com/products/categories/tubs-useo6q3rwg.html

These are the looks that she is going for.... can you all suggest anything that might fall within those lines?

Thanks,

SpaNub

These are nice, but you can't get them here in the US.  But they do have more of a natural feel to them.

Spa Nub--I am in the market as well.  Happened to check out Dr Spa's website and he makes different tubs--there is one under "Japanese Ofuros" that looks very zen!!  Has some nice rocks around it.  I hope to provide the link.  Dr Spa is on this forum

Waddayaknow!  Looks like Gombo and I already got a Sanum.  We just call it an Envoy and hang our towels on a tree.  (at least that's what it looks like in the brochure) ;D ;D

Here's another that is sold in the U.S.  They have some pretty nice looking spas.

That siding is Teak.  I'm going to guess that isn't what you have.  Yes, the shell is the same, but it is the siding that gives it a different look.

I would like to thank all of you for the quick responses and great variety along with the information.

I think that I have quite an array that I can offer to this designer for her client to choose from....

Thank y'all again.
