jet conversion
« on: March 19, 2008, 11:11:32 am »
I enjoy my HS Vanguard, but I'm just wonderin' if it's possible to change the single motomaster jet into a double. If it is possible, would it be simple or difficult? Would it be expensive to convert? Of course, these last two questions are moot if it's not possible. Thx for your input.

You would have to change your Vanguard into a Grandee. ;)

Thanx. Well, I guess when this one wears out, I'll go for the Grandee. Actually, I really like every seat and go from one to the other.

I do leave  the lever that splits the action from pump #2, not in either the 3 or 9 o'clock position, but midway. So when I'm using pump #2 I have all related jets on at once, but at a slightly reduced force. This position is not mentioned in the manual, but I imagine it's not doing any harm. Right?

If you like your current spa stay with it.  but when that spa wears out look at an Arctic Spa.  Remember an Arctic Spa is fully upgradable to pretty much any new widget.  New jets, new stereos, new chemical systems, and more.  So when something new comes out you don't have to buy a new spa.  Again one more Arctic Advantage.

In a Bullfrog Spa we can upgrade:

Lighting (inside & out).
Individual jets.
Entire jetted seats.
Spa packs.
Pumps.
Stereos.
Ozone systems.
Topside controls.
Topside remotes.
Home remotes.

All with relative ease.

As soon as the patent runs out!   ;D

In all seriousness, that is a really good jet (albeit expensive to repair), I love the single in my parents' Landmark.

We have several options with similar therapeutic benefits, but admittedly nothing exactly like it.

that makes sense, considering this thread was started with a Hot Springs owner wanting to "upgrade" his jet selection.

No, actually, he wanted to "Convert" his jets. I can so clearly recall my own personal conversion experience.

Yes they are!

We have had our Bullfrog 451 for almost two years and have had no problems at all.  I would recommend them to anyone.  They use the same high quality components as the "big guys" do.  Balboa controls, aquaflo pumps, emerson motors, waterway jets, etc. etc.  They are the only tub with jetpacks that let you customize your tub to exactly the way you want it.  Bullfrog tubs can be ordered in multiple setups of jetpacks, motors and pumps, circ pumps and ozone generators.

Check them out, they also have a great website.
