Do any of you guys use softare to control what techs and delivery crews are doing?  We are using cards and calendars at the moment and would like go to something more efficient and reliable.  Any suggestions?

We've equipped each van with GPS monitoring as the guys always spent a lot of time over in Shreveport (Casinos).  We are implementing a completely paperless system by equipping service techs and salespeople with tablet PC's for contracts, quotes, and real-time inventory between stores.  Will pass along more info once it's in place.

If you want to make it even easier just use the nextel phones with GPS on them. That tells you where they are at any given time.

Stuart, I feel I may owe you an apology regarding your busy summer. I read that daily and cant help but feel a burden of wrong doing on my part. I am truly sorry for demeaning your post in such a manner, as I know forgiveness is in your geart I already feel relief. In the future I will work harder at posting things of a positive nature, as I am not afraid to practice humility when necessary. Sometimes I get caught up in this industry that I love and can come off a bit arrogant, when I actually should be humbled by an industry that has taken care of my family and I so well and for so long. Again I am truly sorry!

Love my Nextel, fortunately Gina doesn't know about the GPS service.  I'd see it on the bill anyway :)
