First spill
« on: January 19, 2008, 09:31:12 am »
Got back from vegas, it was -20 last night and cold.  Tub was sitting at 104 and we had some friends over to go for a soak.  We had beers and margaritas all night.  I was still with it enough to switch from glass to plastic.  One of our guests was pretty drunk and smacked her cup with elbow and boom.  Strawberry smelling water.

To cold to change the water.  I thought I would be bothered by it, but maybe because the tub is 2 years now, that anxiety about perfect water goes away.  Got out, shocked the crap out of it and today it looks great.

First spill in 2 years, but it was a fun time and who cares.  This soak last night really brought back the excitement again.  I was in a low phase with the tub for some time now.

Take care

The strawberry magarita water wouldn't bother me either.  We all go through phases where the spa use is in a lull, but its nice when it comes back.

give it extra filter time and clean your filter.   margaritas arent going to effect the sanitizer level of the water, now other activities might tho....lol

I allowed extra filter time.  My tub uses the microban disposable filters so no cleaning required.  I am due for a new filter soon anyways, so I will swap it out.

I can't even believe you went out there in that cold!   :o  The other day we were out with headbands on to cover our ears.  Today, at -11 at 10am (MSP) and dangerous wind chills, we would need total face masks!!  We are staying inside.  :(

An idea I stole from Bill is to do partial water changes when it's cold out but the water is getting, uh, funky. I've even let it drain some and toted 5 gallon buckets from the house (too cold to use the hose) and it buys you some time.

i think we need a pic of her in her bikini in order to
provide the correct advise on how to handle this spill

Just a wild guess...but since he just got back from Vegas, there was significant booze involved, and wasn't bothered by the spill...she was probably nakkid. ;)
