2008 Caldera News

I just got word on a couple of things Caldera will add for 2008.  As far as spa models go, no new models for 2008.

They are adding the Spa Frog system to all their spas with exception of the Highland Series.  This will be an in-line bromine and mineral system from Frog.  The system is accessed on the bar top.

They are also adding a color called "Merlot."  I saw a picture online, but it was hard to tell the exact color.  It looks a lot like the espresso color from Hot Spring, but seems to have a bit of red in it.  It looked to be a very nice color.

There are a couple of other small changes:  A new auxiliary control panel, a new corner pillow for the Geneva and added some calf jets to the Geneva and Tahitian loungers.

That's about it for 2008.

Does Spa Frog customize for OEms or are the cartridges interchangable?

Apparently, Frog is going to make one for Caldera that is 200mg rather than the standard 150mg.  They are also going to make the cartridges purple and royal blue rather than yellow and light blue.  Finally, there will be a display box for these that have a "Fits Caldera Spas" label on it.  I suppose these will be available only to Caldera dealers.

King Technology (makers of Spa frog) developed the 200mg for Marquis (it's a green cartridge in a Marquis).  Apparently they're just passing the same cartridge on to Caldera.
