Who makes"exercise" hot tubs to "swim/row" in?
« on: December 02, 2007, 04:04:20 pm »
Just starting to look at hot tubs, I saw the ThermoSpa commercial of the "SpaTrainer Swim Spa" that looked really neat, you can swim against the current, and add on the option of "rowing attachments"...........also saw the Aquatic Fitness System, with the same type of hot tub that you can exercise in............walking or swimming against the current, rowing attachments..etc.

Does anyone have input to anyone else that produces these types of hottubs???

I am really afraid of Thermospa since all the negative comments.....................

Thanks for any input or sugguestions from anyone......................monalisarn

Josh, am I missing something here????  :-?

I have to ask; why do you seem to point out the dealers and salesmen most of the time when you post in a very negative light?

I am no dealer/sales person. I have no ax to grind. I have nothing to sell related to hot tubs/spas... yet, I find your posts so negative toward those that you have asked to give you an opinion. When they do, it seems that you find it a "bash".  :o

Frankly, I have read over your posts...other than possibly ONE person, I do not see anyone of the members of this forum that has tried in any way to twist your arm to buy their product....Are you reading into the posts more than should be? Just a question I had regarding your posts.
I do hope you find the right spa for your lifestyle.... :)

I really thought the topic was about a swim spa/hot tub not your opinion of dealers/sales folks on this forum.

This is not a swim spa, but has the same idea.  Endless Pools makes a great product for exercising.

Clearly, because I didn't say anything negative at all (nothing negative was even implied).

Kind of like what you just did with my post?  All I meant by my reply to this topic was:

"I'm no expert, just a fellow shopper...but here's a site I know that lists a bunch of brands.  There are a lot of dealers and salespeople here who will point out any brands that site is missing".

It's true that I have my problems with the smear campaigns a lot of the dealers and salesmen here seem to enjoy posting in the search topic I started (and in many other topics here)....but my reply to this topic had absolutely nothing to do with that.  I was simply saying "Here's a site, but I'm just a shopper....so a professional may have to fill in the holes there".

I said that because I think adding missing brands is something I a dealer or salesperson here would do a much better job at that some random customer.  Apologies for any confusion I caused by my reply, but it certainly wasn't intended to come across in a negative way, I think that's just how you heard it in your head.

No harm, no foul though.

I now return the topic to the topic starter....

It has already been pointed out that this site is a "advertising site" to rate the "manufacturers" that choose to pay an advertising fee to be included in their ratings matrix.  These rating are specifically intended to influence people, shoppers such as yourself, to BELIEVE what you SEE in the ratings.  There are too many choices listed here to even bother with who might be missing.  Checking out what you see there will be exhausting.

Check with the stores and dealers in your area as to the brands that they carry and do the research on those.  Why bother to find something that is not available to you in your area, or that might be priced beyond your expectation.  My personal preference would be Swim-Ex, but there are many other excellent choices.

Only manufacturers are listed on this site.  If you wish, print it and circle the "rated" spas and check the detailed inventory of manufacturers to see who is missing.  There are no dealers referenced on this site.

I prefer to just soak or bubble in mine, but I did get the rowing kit. Works pretty good, and the rowing seat has jets that hit just right on the lower back and back of the legs.
