Welcome to our forum.
Please do share. I've been putting off a cover purchase wayyyyy to long, and Doc is the likely place I'll do business. Hopefully before winter............................(just like I said last year)
Hello I live in the Northeast (long Island). What density should get for my 4' - 2" tapered cover that i will be ordering from either spacovers.com or rhtubs.com?which site do you recommend to order from?
thanks Doc! so RH it is for me.Is 1.5 density good enough for cold winters or should I go with 2 lb density?
Geez, I must be doing something wrong. Ok. lets do a quick comparison....feature - rhtubs.com - spacovers.comprice : $320 - $340foam density 1.5 - 1.25vapor barrier : 6mil - warranty : 4 years - 3 yearstie downs : 4 - 2Continuous hinge seal : yes - noResidential Delivery Fee : $0 - $18 price : $320 - $340
2 pound density foam will only increase the R value by 1 (one). The biggest advantages are more strength (30% more) for snow load, and the denser foam is less susceptible to water absorption.
Water absorbtion has been my big problem. Would the denser foam and double wrap be over kill?Did you see my aqua check test strip order go through? I worded it so someone might have pointed it out to you.
