I'm also at work.  
I hate today because it's the Monday after Thanksgiving.  
If I was Canadian, I wouldn't have this problem.

Okay... I feel much better knowing I am not alone! Nothing worse than the Monday after a long weekend.... but right now my job is so boring... even after I do what little work there is to do...I either twiddle my thumbs... or read up on here.... only one complaint... you guys have to write more... I need more material to read

last year we had to change our company policy because so many people
were calling in at the last minute after 3 day weekends taking an extra day.

the policy is now if you call last minute the day before or the day after a
paid holiday you will not get paid for the paid holiday.

days off before or after paid holidays must be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.

quess whats happened?

everybody is making it in to work after the paid holidays!

Yeah, that's been standard policy at a few places I've worked. Gotta keep the slackers in line.

That happens for us if we book off sick right before or after a Holiday.... But we also work Holidays.... so... whats the point?? lol

Okay, I went to Beating a Dead Horse..... wow!  There must be a story behind this Jim Dude? I went to his site after a quick google.... and his forum like this one... only has him on it.. and a couple other people.. However I could really argue by the way the others write/type that it is all the same person!! Now would nt' that be sad??? talking to yourself on you Forum about how smart you are and what a good product you have.... Just when I thought I had hit an all time low by reading a Forum at work... ha haha
