La Z Boy hot tubs

I was in Costco (Canada) the other day and they have La Z Boy hottubs, they look like Bullfrog does anyone know who makes them?

You'd think Lay z boy would have done their reseach b4 lending their name to such a garbage manufacturer  unless tatum threw a bunch of cash at them for the licensing.
My hat is off to them though for grabbing one of most recognizable names in home furnishings.

I think in this day - it's all about money. All a bean counter knows is hey my name is out there, they don't care to know about anything else. People will buy whatever if it has a known name. Maytag is a good example - 20 years ago they were THE washer to get - now they are POS like the rest, actually Maytag is Whirlpool and I guess so is Amana (Maytag bought Amana a few years ago before being bought by Whirlpool).

Also, I have said this before ... the amount of spas sold vs the number of people who actually research them is staggering. I know of one person who owns a Walmart spa and he loves it; but he mentioned to me he is worried about winter and the electric use. I'm sure there are 1,000's of people out there without premium spas who are enjoying the spa. If it breaks after 3 to 5 years they'll get rid of it and never buy another.

BTW, Lay Z Boy isn't the same quality it was back then either ... I have a sofa & loveseat set with recliners and the fabric (paid priemum for the fabric) was shot after about 3 years.

I think people who buy Wal-mart and similar brand spas are happy with them because they have nothing to compare it to.  They think a spa is a spa and don't know any better.

I agree 100%, I thought that way too until I started researching on the internet and found Doc's site and this site. I realized then that that $3000 HD spa may not be the best investment.

I just found out that a friend of mine bought a spa for therapy since she hurt her back. She was raving about how much it helped. I asked her what brand it was and she almost looked startled, like she'd know the brand of peanut butter in her fridge more than she'd know that. She said it was from "that little place down the road- dunno what brand- it has lots of jets" (United Spa)

I guess we'll see where each of us is in 3 years.
