First frost!
« on: October 28, 2007, 09:22:35 am »
Woke up this morning to a heavy coat of frost. It got down to 31 degrees here and is currently 32. Looks like I changed my water just in time. I'm waitin for my FC to drop a little as it's over 10 ppm(i just installed my N2 last night), so I can take full advantage of such a fantastic soakin morning.....

Here's to fall
Cheers,

Chad

ps- Are mosquitos, bugs, etc still around after the first frost?

Is that what that stuff is on the ground this morning?   ;D

Not sure about the bugs...I thought they were gone the other night when we soaked and it was about 40 out, but they may just be slowed down by the cold and come creeping out if it gets warm again.  Have a great soak!

The first frost stopped 20 miles north of me, no frost at home, but it backed the tee times aboutg 20 minutes.  Nice steam off the tub tonight.

No sight of frost in my neck of the woods yet. A sunny 70F today with a low of 45F tonight. Pretty much the same forecast all week here in middle TN.

....can't wait for the frost here. It doesn't look like we will have one for a few weeks.

My bro said he was soakin' last night in northeast Ohio ( east of Cleveland) and it was about 36F. I kind of miss that here....

Then again I DO NOT miss that lake effect snow in the winter...spa or no spa...I don't care for that wicked white stuff.    ;D

We were 95 today.  :)

It was cloudy and even drizzled yesterday though.

Perfect camping/fishing weather.  Can't wait to hot tub tonight.

First big frost by me this morning. Woke up at 6am to get my son ready for school and it was 30F and a thick coat of frost on evrything. Made my coffee and ridht into the tub. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ;D

I needed it after yesterday. I had a Halloween party for my doughters. 45 7 to 10 year olds running all over the place. Thank God the weather was dry, I can not think of what I would of done if it rained. :P

Now that's what I call dedicated...45 kids?  Wow.  I am impressed.  I've done substitute teaching and backed off on the early years and focus on middle and high school since I just wasn't good at being a 'Kindergarden Cop'.  You have my respect for being able to do that and survive!

PS:  Getting into the low 20's here in Flagstaff, AZ.  Can't wait to make a decision on a tub and slip in like you, with a cup of java in the early AM and watch the frost!

I did not think there were that many until we started to line them up for a doughnut eating contest. I started doing a head count and was amazed when I counted 45.  :o

Between classmates and Girl Scouts and Brownie's, you can up there in numbers.

I woke up this morning to our first freeze. It's currently 25 degrees. Oh how you gotta love the up and down weather of MO. I'm gonna go grab another cup of joe and hit the spa. :)

32 here, just another frost. It did get down to 35 at tub time last night, so it was our first soak at 104 this season. I did get a look at the comet in Perseus last night. Its barely naked eye in town, but looks pretty cool in binoculars. Not much of a tail, looks like a big snow ball in the sky. Turned the tub down to 100 as we are going out of town this weekend, going to visit my nephew before his 2nd tour of Iraq next week.
